How to start making your own candles

Hello there. Welcome to the big wide world of candlemaking. It is a fun, creative hobby that let’s you make something completely your own. And who knows, it might even grow into a business. But first things first, what do you actually need to get started?

That is where our Better Candlemaking Kits come in.

What’s Included in our kits? 

Each kit includes 10 pounds of wax of your choosing, 20 wicks, 4 wick clips, as well as 20 wick stickies. This way you can choose your own fragrances and vessel to match your style. 

What wax should I choose? 

Our Better Candlemaking Kits have 7 different blends to choose from, giving you the freedom to explore and discover the perfect fit for your candlemaking style. I have my kit, Now what?

Congrats! It’s time to make your first candle. All of our waxes include simple instructions right on the bag. You can melt your wax using a microwave, a traditional wax melter, or a double boiler.

If you are using a microwave, be sure to:

• Use a microwave safe container

• Heat in 30 second intervals

• Stir between each round

From there, it is all about pouring, testing, and having fun.
