This blend offers improved fragrance throw (especially tricker fragrances like vanilla) and sidewall adhesion. It performs the same as Freedom Soy wax, so the processes, temperatures and tips for candlemaking are identical.
Freedom Coconut wax is great for experienced candlemakers who have already nailed down their candlemaking process with Freedom Soy wax and want to take their candlemaking to the next level.
Our wax beads are easy to measure and can be melted in your microwave oven. Just melt, fragrance, and pour into the best candles you’ve ever made.
Great looking tops with perfect sidewall adhesion can be accomplished by following these simple steps:
- Heat wax to 160 F
- Mix in fragrance (up to 10%)
- Pour into room-temperature jars
- Give your candles plenty of time to cool, and avoid trying to cool too rapidly as this can cause shrinkage and occasional sink-holes to occur.

I love this wax and the convenience of the beads. I’ve had some trouble wicking but have continued my search and testing, and feel comfortable offering a few sizes/containers on my etsy store. I’ve been looking for other reviews on this wax, but so far have only found a few from Amazon so decided I would just write my own! I wish there was a little more information/instructions and guidance from the company and I keep wondering why no other company sells beaded wax because it’s the best to work with! So far in about 5 months, I’ve had good luck with the looks of the candle top and scent throw. In my opinion, it’s a good mix of waxes, if only I could feel confident with wicking. I’ll keep trying because I really love this wax!

Hi Debbie,
Thank you so much for your kind words about our Freedom Coconut wax. We do have our “wickinator 3000” on our website to help with wick sizing, hopefully that helps! Please reach out if you have any more questions. Thank you so much!!

Just received my first order of this wax along with the Midwest Container Soy Wax. I have been trying trying different combination blends with these 2 waxes and so the results are promising. I still haven’t exactly what I want, still having some issues with sink holes, wet spots, and rough tops. So far I have tested a 50/50 blend 70/30 blend going both ways and a 60/40 blend going both ways. Results have been pretty similar and fairly consistent so far. It is still very early in testing but I am loving the wax so far. The colors I am seeing are very nice and cold throw is great. A few more days and I’ll do the first burn tests and be able to judge hot throw. I would really like to see more recommendations for optimal temps for adding scent/color and pouring wax, not just for the coconut wax but for all waxes offered. Other than that I can honestly say on first looks this wax far out performs other waxes I have worked with in the past and I am looking forward to trying out more products from your company in the near future.
